of Perkiomen Valley Brewery
Topic :: Local Foraging & Beer Making

Perkiomen Valley Brewery in Green Lane, PA is a tiny scratch beer brewery in the smallest borough in Montgomery County. Kelly brews with her husband Tom and specializes in creating foraged beers by adding flora from the many trails, woods, and fields in our local area for the brewery’s farm, field, and trail beers. Kelly has been in the gardens and the woods since her childhood. She loves learning about the flora around her. She approaches brewing from a kitchen cooking-centric view pairing flavors and profiles that are unique and uniquely delicious when combined. Her brewing education includes The University of Vermont and being 1 of the 30 individuals selected out of thousands of applicants worldwide to be mentored by The Brewer’s Association's first cohort of mentees.

Though small, their brewery is a trendsetter not just for their unique brews but also being an autism family-owned business and the second brewery in the United States to intentionally make our taproom fully accessible for people with physical disabilities and neuro-diversities. Breweries throughout the country have taken some of their practices and implemented them within theirs.
